About Change Unchained

About Change Unchained

The Change Unchained organization was founded by active-duty Navy Chief Petty Officer Troy Ulshoeffer and his wife Tiffany. They have been working with anti-human trafficking organizations since 2012. Troy has been involved both domestically and internationally. This subject has reached into the lives of both and they have seen firsthand the destruction it can cause. Troy and Tiffany have a true desire to assist in keeping our community safe from any form of trafficking. The focus for Change Unchained will be in but not limited to Pensacola and surrounding areas.

Here is an example of a Pensacola man caught trafficking women from China within the Pensacola area last year. This is a problem everywhere, and we are determined to purge it as far as we can reach. We want to start in our very own communities within the Pensacola area.

One in seven of the more than 23,500 U.S. runaways in 2018 was a victim of child sex trafficking, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

An estimated 9,000 illicit massage businesses are in the U.S., according to Polaris.

Our Vision

More than 50,000 individuals of all ages are sold and required to work against their will in the United States each year. Most of these men, women, and children are forced to work in the sex industry. While others are sold as domestic servants as farm laborers, housekeepers etc.

Every survivor has a unique story. However, the commonality is the same, they all involve suffering, loss of self-esteem, and most often physical injury.

Change Unchained was founded to assist in locating, recovering, and placing victims as well as educating the local community of the dangers surrounding this issue.

We here at change unchained desire to bring back a sense of normalcy and to provide a safe transition into the rest of their lives.

Our vision has two parts...

Part one — To support law enforcement in their quest to bring justice to victims and to the identification and apprehension of predators and traffickers by conducting operations (in tandem with our law enforcement partners) like search and rescue, online monitoring, report writing and stings. As a non-governmental organization, we partner with others like Called2Rescue, Anonymity Rescue Ministries, FREE International, and others to conduct these local and national operations to ensure that victims receive proper resources for healing and that traffickers and exploiters are brought to justice.

Part two — The second part consists of a secure location where survivors will be able to temporarily find safe refuge upon completing a state certified safe house program. We want to ensure that all survivors are afforded an opportunity to get financially stable while also acquiring a trade and/or employment to ensure a smooth transition as they re-acclimate into society. This will be achieved by offering residency and meals at no cost for a time of 3-6 months to survivors in a tiny home village (that is located on a 21-acre parcel of land in the panhandle region of Florida/Alabama.

This parcel will also include a medical, search and rescue (SAR) and tactical training facility. This will ensure that all our team members will be properly and adequately trained by subject matter experts in their respective fields prior to any operation that takes place This includes search techniques in the field, field and trauma medicine and small arms tactical training, and weapon safety.

We invite you to join us in helping to make human trafficking in our city, our state, and our country a thing of the past.  When you partner with us you will be helping those affected by this travesty recover safely and go on to lead successful and happy lives.

Donate Directly to Change Unchained

All proceeds will go to equip our operations team that will volunteer their time and put themselves in harm’s way to successfully execute the mission of Change Unchained and stop sex trafficking in Pensacola as well as other areas across the US.

Our long-term goals include:

  • Providing survivors with help and treatment

  • Offering job placement support

  • Increasing community awareness

  • Constructing a tiny home/cottage community to safely house survivors

  • Ending sex trafficking in Pensacola and expanding our impact

  • Acquiring the facility and land to create our headquarters for the above-mentioned goals

For some of us involved, this topic hits incredibly close to home. Abuse (sexual, physical, or emotional) toward women, men, and children must not be tolerated.

❌We are here to END IT!❌

Please help us achieve these goals, and we thank each of you who donate to this cause.

Even $5 makes a huge difference.
